June was Food Drive Month!

During June, I collected non-perishable food for the Pantry at Urban Ministries of Wake County (www.urbanmin.org).

Over 90 pounds of food and approximately $100 was donated and delivered to the Pantry! Thanks to all the folks who contributed so generously!

If you missed the opportunity to donate in June...don't worry. My food collection for Urban Ministries is an on-going endeavor. So, you can drop off your donations (or a check payable to Urban Ministries) anytime at my office at 3700 Computer Drive #100, Raleigh, NC 27609 (be sure to tell the receptionist that you are dropping off for Denise's Food Drive) or call or email me to arrange for pick-up.

Urban Ministries of Wake County is a non-profit, interfaith organization that provides essential basic services to more than 24,000 diverse families and individuals in Wake County every year. These services include emergency and transitional housing, medical care, prescription medications, employment assistance, food assistance and other support services to promote self-sufficiency and a stable home environment for those in need. Urban Ministries began as an organization with interfaith beliefs and will continue to serve everyone in need.

The Food Pantry is in need of peanut butter and jelly, canned meats (tuna and chicken), canned meals (ravioli, spaghetti, etc), canned fruit, soups and vegetables, pasta and rice, cereal, juice, beans and many other non-perishable food items in non-breakable containers (no glass, please!).

Thanks for helping!
